Fun Challenges this Week

Somehow I've missed participating in the Prairie Fairy challenges the last couple of weeks. Not sure why. Couldn't be that there were no sticks - I live on the lake - lots of trees. I don't like distressing much - OH the paper! I thought I was to be distressed..... Sorry I just had to say it.

This week there is a photo to inspire us. There appeared to be several shades of brown, a deep maroon, orange-red and a touch of yellow. Okay, so I emphasized the yellow. You have to work with what you have.


I used plain yellow cardstock for the base. The ribbon and square crystals are from Michael's and the paper sunflowers are from Paper Wishes.  I colored the Prairie Fairy image (I just love that moose!) with Copics. Possible inside sentiments are: "Let's Party!"  or  "Happy Birthday from all of us"  or even "You looked like you could use a friend."

This second card is my 1st entry in this week's Phindy Challenge

This week the challenge is to use buttons and/or brads with a Phindy image. This image is one of the new style characters that Phindy introduced just a couple of weeks ago. I used the colors from the ribbon to color the image. Copics of course.

The background paper is from HOTP and the green sparkly paper is DCWV. The ribbon came from Michael's. I outline the image with Dazzle border and added the sunlike Dazzle too. Some gold pearls and purple glittery round brads and WaLa! What a fun card to make.
