Warm Weekend Coming Up

Supposed to be in the 80s this weekend. Purrfect days to open the windows and do some crafting - or take some digis on the screen porch to color. Sounds like a purrfect balance between the cold days of winter and the hot humid days of summer. These nice ones are so few.
Enjoy!!

THE SATURDAY GIVEAWAY: TWENTY eCopies of KIN from Kealan Patrick Burke!

THE SATURDAY GIVEAWAY: TWENTY eCopies of KIN from Kealan Patrick Burke!

I'm Back!!

After a long drought I am back. Except for my daughter Cathlyn's wedding last year I have not done any scrapbooking and I could count the number of cards on one hand. Luckily I had a supply of ready cards from previous challenges etc. to meet my needs.

I just had 100 photos printed so I can do some scrapbooking from 2011. I have also spent the last month or more reconfiguring my scrapbook room at the lake. I tried to organize, condense, etc. the large amount of supplies that I have. I need adhesives but otherwise I'm in good shape for awhile. Except for digis - my computer crashed last summer and I lost over 700 digis. I have redownloaded some from my account at Phindy's Place, but many I had bought before she was automated. Once her family life settles down, she has promised to help me get the others.

Angela at Sew Many Cards is also dealing with family problems and I had had some of her digis on a CD so I was able to get back about 15 of them. Still too many to count that I may never get back. I now am religiously backing up my hard drive on a weekly basis. To soon old.... too late smart (was my Dad's favorite saying).

The Angel Company is gone so my other blog will be deleted once I figure out how to do that.

Flower Challenge

The new challenge is up at Angel Creative Updates. You are challenged this time to use two types of flowers. Not daisies and roses, but at least two styles: stamped, die cut, folded paper, embossed, floral paper, brads, etc. I've seen enough snow for awhile and ready to think about spring and flowers. Join in with your creation!

Paper Cutz Challenge with Metal

Paper Cutz Challenge this week is to use metal. I made this masculine card for OWH. The stars and baseball brads are made of metal. I love the tan/blue/maroon color combo. Entries are due by Thursday night, January 13, 2011.

Don't forget to visit my other blog Angel Creative Updates and check out the new challenge over there. "Keeping Warm with Fur" is the theme and you have until January 18, 2011 to enter.

"Angel" Challenge #4

Two weeks seems to be working a little better than every week. The new challenge (#4) at Angel Creative Updates is "Keeping Warm with Fur". On those cold winter days wouldn't it be nice to snuggle in a nice warm fur coat?? (Real or synthetic). For this challenge you must use an image of an animal with fur (cat, dog, bear, etc).

This is a 2 week challenge (a little more manageable for me) so all creations need to be in by 6 a.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Submissions are on the Angel Creative Updates blog. Good luck and share your talents!

"Angel" Challenge #2

 Theme: A Child's Birthday

Since Christmas is the birthday of Jesus, I am extending that to birthday cards for children in general. Make a card, layout, ATC (artist trading card) or other project appropriate for celebrating a child's birthday. You may use any colors, but "Happy Birthday", "Birthday Wishes" or similar sentiment must be visible. Again you may use images from any source but if you use stamps from The Angel Company and cite them in your supply list on your blog, you will have an extra entry for the drawing.

The prize this week, determined by random.org, is a package of assorted ribbons.

Be sure to review the Challenge Rules.
This week's challenge will be due Tuesday, December 21st @ 6:00 a.m. US central time.

Submit your creation on Angel Creative Updates.

Here is my sample for the challenge.
  • Image: The Angel Company - Boyz & Girlz
  • Sentiment: The Angel Company
  • Cardstock: Recollections
  • Pearls: Mark Richards
  • Charm & Heart Brads from stash.
Last week's winner for the gratitude card is Kateri! While there were only a couple of entries, I am hoping to see more this week.
